As summer is slowly coming to an end, there are still plenty of things to do in Steamboat Springs in the fall. Besides hiking or biking any of the beautiful trails we have surrounding us, or if you just need a break from going to open houses while searching for your dream home, here are our top upcoming events you don’t want to miss while you are in town this month:

Farmer’s Market on Yampa Street

This event is still going strong and is a must whether you are a local to Steamboat or just passing through. The last one takes place on September 15th so be sure to get your locally produced food fix or check out all the arts and crafts before it’s too late.

Sunset Happy Hour

This is another classic Steamboat event, both during the summer months and in the winter. Nothing beats having a drink at 9000 ft while watching the sun set over our beautiful valley. Before their mud-season break, the final two occasions to catch the sunset at Thunderhead Lodge is Sunday, September 9 or Sunday, September 23.

OktoberWest Beer Stroll – September 14

This is the 10th Annual OktoberWest event and it takes place at various locations throughout historic downtown Steamboat Springs. This event is inspired by Octoberfest, but with a mountain town feel. Stroll around downtown and try out all the beers that will be offered at over 20 different restaurants. A fun event that shouldn’t be missed!

Lost Art Revival September 17-21

According to the Chamber, “this is a week-long event that celebrates traditional art forms that capture the spirit of Steamboat’s Western heritage, unique sense of place and natural environment”. During this week you can sign up for individual workshops, such as photography, blacksmith, fiber-spinning, woodworking, or candle spinning. There will also be various entertainment offered around town as well as a Chuck Wagon Dinner.

Steamboat Restaurant Week – September 28-October 7

If you are a foodie, this event is a must. Steamboat Restaurant week will take place at various restaurants downtown, where participating venues will showcase their menus with selected dishes and specials just for this week. It’s a true culinary experience celebrating the eclectic mix of restaurants that Steamboat has to offer.

So if you are in town during the month of September, we hope you take advantage of one or more of these exciting upcoming events. We hope to see you around!

Kindly,

Kevin and Randall
